- BBQ rub (store-bought or homemade)

🔥 Step 1: Prep the Cream Cheese
- Take the cream cheese block out of packaging.
- Pat it dry with a paper towel.
- Lightly coat with olive oil or melted butter (helps seasoning stick).
🌶 Step 2: Seasoning
- Coat all sides generously with BBQ rub.
- You can score the top in a criss-cross pattern for deeper flavor absorption.
🔥 Step 3: Smoking
🌡 Temperature:
- 225°F (107°C)
🪵 Wood:
- Hickory, Applewood, or Cherry (best flavor balance)
⏳ Step 4: Smoke It
- Place cream cheese on a foil tray or cast iron pan.
- Put it in the smoker.
- Smoke for 1.5 to 2 hours.
👉 You’ll see it soften and develop a golden-brown crust.
🍯 Step 5: Optional Glaze Finish
- In last 15–20 minutes:
- Drizzle honey OR BBQ sauce on top
- Add jalapeños if you want spice
